    Auction

  4. What is an Online Auction? Index
An online auction works just like a physical auction but it doesn't take place in real time :usually they last for 2 weeks. Sellers put items up for auction for an allotted time, and potential buyers bid on the item until the auction ends. The highest bidder wins the auction and implements the payment accordingly, assuming the Asking Price has been satisfied. The difference is that the listing and bidding are done electronically on the Web,and they don't have real auctioneers.

  5. What type of Auction is used on auctions.allproducts.com? Index
A standard auction is used. This, we believe, is the best and most efficient way to implement an auction. auctions.allproducts.com will specify the duration of the auction, what the Asking Price per Unit is, and the Minimum Opening Offer Price per Unit. Potential buyers place increasing bids. The highest bid at the end of the auction wins the products, assuming the Asking Price has been satisfied. If the Asking Price is not met, the sale closes unsuccessfully. Then the merchandising manager will consider negotiations.

  6. How is an auction negotiated? Index
If an auction closes unsuccessfully, i.e. the highest bid is less than the Asking Price, a negotiation may ensue. Our merchandising manager negotiates the conditions with the buyer, on behalf of the seller, till a deal is reached. This could include trying to make compormises in terms of shipping dates, location, quantity, insurance, etc.

  7. How many days does the average auction cycle take? Index
Normally 2 weeks, excluding re-created auction cases.

  8. What if there is no winner? Index
In cases where no bid has reached the asking price, we may re-create the auction at a later date or try to re-negotiate the Asking Price.

    Bidding

  9. I want to buy surplus product on the website, what should I do? Index
You must place your bid on your selected auctions. The higher your bid, the better your chances are of winning. Minutes after you place a bid, our system will send you a confirmation email with regard to that bid. You can, of course, go back to place a higher bid if you need to.

  10. How do I bid on auctions.allproducts.com? Index

If you would like to make a bid higher than the current highest bid and in accordance with the bid increment rate then simply click the amount you are willing to bid and then press the "Submit My Bid Now" button and double check everything before pressing the "confirm" button. After your bid is received, auctions.allproducts.com will send an e-mail to confirm the bid.

  11. What does "Asking Price" and "Minimum Opening Price" mean? Index
Asking Price is the price requested by a Seller. The Minimum Opening Price is set by auctions.allproducts.com, which is adjusted for each auction. The latter could be lower or higher than the Asking Price. Bidders will not know the asking price until they submit a bid.

  12. What is the bid increment? Index
Bid increment is set automatically by the auction system, and is dependent on the product value. Every time you place a bid, your price must meet the minimum opening price plus the bid increment. A price under this amount will not be accepted.

  13. How do I place a bid? Index
After selecting the auctions you would like to bid on, you will be asked to submit a bid. Once you choose your bid amount and click "Submit My Bid Now", your bid information will be listed on another page, where we will then ask you to confirm your bid in order to make sure all the information is correct. When you click "Confirm" on the Bid Confirmation page, your order will be entered into the system where you can monitor the auction, or await an email, which will be sent out to you should you be the winner.

  14. How do I know if my bid has been accepted? Index

    Winning an Auction

  16. How is the winner determined? Index
The eventual winner is determined by 2 main factors: Bid Price and Bid Date/Time. Most important, of course, is the bid price - highest bid wins. However, in the case where two or more bids have the same bidding price on the same auction at the same time, to break a tie, the one who first logged in to the system will take precedence over the others. The winner is the highest bidder who meets or exceeds the Asking Price on the day the auction closes.
